Prosthetic Solutions

A prosthesis is more than an artificial device; it is a tool designed to restore function and independence lost due to trauma, illness, or congenital conditions. At Matrix Mobility, we specialize in custom prosthetic solutions for all levels of lower limb loss, utilizing state-of-the-art components and clinically proven techniques.

To ensure a precision fit, we integrate computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) alongside microprocessor technologies where appropriate. Your journey with us begins with a personalized one-on-one consultation, evolving through a comprehensive process of evaluation, custom fabrication, and dedicated rehabilitation. Our team is committed to advancing prosthetic care through continuous research, ensuring you receive the most effective and innovative mobility solutions available.

Understanding Mobility Classes (K-Levels)

At Matrix Mobility, we use the international standard of Lower Extremity Functional Classifications (K-Levels 0 to 4) to ensure your prosthetic design perfectly matches your physical potential and lifestyle goals. Our clinicians evaluate these levels to select the components that will best support your journey toward independence.

Understanding Mobility Classes (K-Levels)

The user has the potential to use a prosthesis for transfers or walking on level surfaces at a steady, low speed.

  • Treatment Objective: To restore the ability to stand and maintain independent mobility within the home.

Mobility Class 2: Limited Outdoor Mobility

The user can navigate low-speed walking and overcome minor environmental barriers like curbs, single steps, or slightly uneven surfaces.

  • Treatment Objective: To enable independent movement within the home and the immediate neighborhood.

Mobility Class 3: Unrestricted Outdoor Mobility

The user can walk at variable speeds and traverse most community obstacles. This level is for those who lead active lives, including occupational or therapeutic activities, without placing extreme mechanical stress on the limb.

  • Treatment Objective: To restore unhindered mobility at home and provide near-limitless access to the outside world.

Mobility Class 4: High-Impact Mobility

This classification is for users whose activity exceeds basic walking, involving high-impact stresses, heavy loads, or athletic demands. Walking time and distance are essentially unlimited.

  • Treatment Objective: To provide a robust solution that supports unlimited mobility and high-performance activity both indoors and out.
